RIP DJ AM

From MTV.com:

Diddy, Paris Hilton, Aubrey O'Day And More Pay Tribute To DJ AM. Dr. Drew, Demi Lovato and fellow celebrity DJs Samantha Ronson and DJ Skee also remember AM.

DJ AM's untimely death has left the music community stunned. Many of the DJ's friends and fans have taken to Twitter to remember the late 36-year-old, as many questions still remain unanswered about his death.

DJ Skee recalled how much DJ AM changed the game for his fellow spinners. "AM not only helped take DJing to a new frontier as the first true mainstream celebrity DJ," he said in a statement. "He opened the doors for me and many others by taking DJing as a culture, business and lifestyle to the next level. I send my deepest thoughts and condolences to his family."

DJ Skee Presents: Freddie Gibbs- midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik (Mixtape)

The New Yorker just gave us a blessing:

Freddie Gibbs from Gary, Indiana, just dropped “Midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik.” Gibbs reminds me of 2Pac and Pimp C. This is the antidote to overblown Auto-Tune jams. It’s like a cold glass of lemonade.

TSS says:

As fresh on the scene as his name may seem, Freddie Gibbs is not a newcomer by any means. After a less than fruitful stint with Interscope, Gibbs’ name still rings bells with industry cats, but the listening public isn’t wasn’t aware (emphasis on the past tense). The past few months have seen the Gary-raised rapper regrouping and taking control of the direction of his career, making it his task to make sure that people knew his name & skills. At this point and after the Miseducation…tape, I think it’s safe to say he has the listening ear of many and the potential to gain even more fans.

Backed by DJ Skee, midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik is another notable feather in his fitted. With no further adieu, download, listen & enjoy.

We will post some video from it soon on Skee.TV.
